I am not a size 2. I am not even a size 4. I don’t have a “thigh gap” or perfectly formed butt or a six pack.
But tonight I had western mass swimming where I got best times by 3 seconds in all 4 of my events, 5th and 2nd place in my relays and 4th overall in my meet. How did I do that? With my thunder thighs. With my wide hips and 6’1” frame. With my stomach that sticks out sometimes.
I accomplished all of that with my not-so-perfect body. And I couldn’t be any fucking prouder than I am right now.
